Icelandic horses in Sweden!

We offer horse trekking along beautiful forest lanes and windy gravel paths on friendly Icelandic horses.

Here you can in a friendly way learn the basic of horseback riding and if you are a more experienced rider you can learn to master the special gait of the Icelandic horse which is called tölt. At the same time you get a fantastic outdoor experience. An instructor who will be of assistance both before and during the trek leads the trekking.

No more than 8 people can go riding at the same time. The riders may weigh no more than 95 kg. Children must be at least 12 years of age.

We have treks lasting from 1 hour to 5 days. We also rent out cabins, wood fired sauna and spa tub and Barbeque.

Route description

From E6 (from the north)
Turn off E6 at Varberg C. Take road no. 153 direction east. After about 50 km you are in "Fegen". Turn right to "Kinnared", after 3 km in "Sandsered", turn left to "Skogsgärde 3". After 3 km there is sign ISLANDSHÄSTAR (icelandichorses).

From E6 (from the south)
Turn off E6 at Halmstad N. Take road no. 26 direction northeast. After about 30 km you are in "Torup", follow the signs to "Kinnared". In "Kinnared" follow the signs to "Fegen", but 3 km before "Fegen" in "Sandsered" turn right to "Skogsgärde 3". After 3 km there is sign ISLANDSHÄSTAR (icelandichorses)

From road no. 26
Turn off road no. 26 at Skeppshult. Take road no. 153 direction west towards Varberg. After about 10 km turn left to "Kinnared / Gryteryd" and then right to "Gryteryd". In Gryteryd turn right to "Sandsered". After 4 km there is sign ISLANDSHÄSTAR (icelandichorses).
